When a business decides to make a big change like redesigning an office and bringing new furniture in, they ask us how they can get the existing furniture out. Where does the old furniture go? The panel parts and pieces of systems furniture aren’t easily disposable. We reassure our clients that we can help them repurpose their used furniture, as well as help them save on their taxes, by giving their old furniture a new life within a non-profit organization. Currently, we’re asking for non-profit organizations to contact us if they are in need of used furnishings. Since Office World has a furniture installation team complete with large moving vehicles necessary for furniture transportation, it’s easy for us to move and store used furniture in our warehouse while it’s waiting for a new home with-in a non-profit. The types of furnishings we haul, store, and donate include systems furniture, task chairs, desks, monitor arms, keyboard trays, and the list goes on.
Repurposing furniture is a standard, but typically unknown service we offer to our clients, non-profits and to the community. Recently we successfully repurposed furnishings from a large corporation and transferred them to organizations in-need. This reinstallation was a success and left all parties satisfied with their contribution to sustainability.
